Giant’s Tomb is a two-piece acoustic band that plays a variety of covers from several genres, as well as some originals. The band is comprised of Pete Flood and Evan Bryant, two avid musicians local to the Midland and surrounding area. They have playing together casually for several years, and recently took it upon themselves to take their music to a professional level.

Pete (vocals), has been an enthusiast of stage and performance for years. He has acted with a variety of musical theatre companies in Midland, Barrie, and Orillia. While living in Toronto, Pete sang lead vocals with a band he formed with fellow students and musicians. Pete draws inspiration as a front man from many 80’s and 90’s rock acts, such as Freddie Mercury, Axl Rose, and Gord Downie to name a few.

Evan (guitar, vocals) picked up his first guitar when he was 13, and has scarcely put it down since. In his youth, he performed both solo and as a member of various local bands. A true lover of live performance, Evan has played the pub scene in Barrie and Toronto, as well as some local shows. Evan has written and recorded many originals, and adds his songwriting talents to Giant’s Tomb. His musical inspirations include The Beatles, The Tragically Hip, and Nirvana.

 

Giant’s Tomb features an expansive and varied set list, which spans Classic Rock to Contemporary, and everything in between. They are constantly expanding their repertoire, and always willing to learn new material at the request of event organizers. They bring passion, energy, and good humour to every single live performance.
